PTA Meeting Minutes
Thursday, November 5, 2009

Call to order: 5:06
Attendance: Felicia Woodard, Joni Bailey, Stacy Johnson

The main topic of this meeting was the Fun Run (again.) 
We are in the final stage of the Fun Run. We are just trying to get organized.  Tshirts should be ready to go on Monday night.  Joni and Stacy will be sorting them and distributing to each class. Please have students wear their tshirts on Thursday. Blue shirts are track 1, aqua shirts are track 3 and green shirts are track 4.
  
We are still looking for more volunteers that day.  Even if you can come during your student’s time, that would be great.  Grades 4 & prek are at 930-1015.  Grades 5 is at 11:00-11:45.  1st grade is at 1:45-230.  2nd grade and Pre k will be at 10:15-11:00.  Kindergarten is at 1:00-1:45. 3rd grade and AU classes are at 2:30-3:15. Then clean will be from 3:15-3:45.   

Please come out and help make our first Fun Run successful.  

The PTA will be handling the yearbook orders and payments this year.  Ms. Hall will need help with the yearbooks regarding photo layouts, pictures, etc.  

There will be a general PTA meeting on Thursday, Nov. 19th at 6:00 prior to 1st $ 2nd grade performance.

The Holiday shop will start Thurs., Nov. 19th.  We need volunteers to come help with the students during the day. We would like to have the holiday store open that night before the performance.  If anyone who doesn’t have someone performing that night, we would appreciate helping out running the store. 

The Total Connection Food Drive will start Mon., Nov. 23rd and goes through Dec. 18th.  We need volunteers to come in the morning to collect the food items from the classes and put in central location.  Total Connection will then come and pick up the food. Total Connection will then pass the food on to families that are in need from our school first and then in the area.  
In addition to the food drive, we are also collecting books to donate to kids in the school to improve their home library.
